I think that a Santorum withdrawal would be every bit as disastrous to the process as Fred Thompson’s in ‘08. There will simply be no one left articulating the conservative, Constitutional vision in a way that I can understand. Newt has dined with the devil too many times of late when conservatives needed him, he was inclined to agree with establishment thinking instead. I don't think Santorum needs to drop out yet. But I do think he should have recognized that he could not win Florida, so I wish he would have sincerely asked his Florida supporters to vote for Gingrich today, simply to ensure that Romney doesn't get the delegates.

Then live to fight another day, in the next state.
