Of course he has. The Romney people and the DC establishment have come to Rubio and told him that he is guaranteed the VP slot but that he must sell out his Tea Party cred.

We’ll see but there’s no way Rubio is allowed to the Palin to Romney’s McCain.

Incredibly disappointing move by Rubio, and very tone deaf. Can’t he see that Mitt Romney and Charlie Crist are the same animal?

He is a politician. Jeb’s protegee. Politicians will use who ever they can and take whatever they can to win.

There my be a very few who hold to principles, but the list wouldn’t be very long.

The Tea Party put him where he is. The Tea Party can take him out. And do so in plain view. The others will get the message.

I never trusted this guy. His mushiness on the Arizona legislation told me all I need to know; if he will equivocate there, he will do so elsewhere. I believe he’s as self-serving as the most seasoned of politicians.

Apparently, there’s this “Cult of Rubio.” He’s come out directly for a “pathway to citizenship,” and yet the Tea Party loves him. He definitely looks like one of the establishment. I’d like to find out where else he’s incompatible with the conservative agenda.

If Rubio’s parents had felt like him, they would have stopped half way on their journey to freedom.

Ode to the Grand Olde Party, and their BFF, the Obamanator.

When Newt or Paul rocks the GOP Establishment Boat,
The GOP oarsmen pull knives from their boots.
The hacking and slashing puts extreme fighting to shame,
Never, no NEVER rock the GOP Establishment Boat!
The GOP cannot win elections, by choice of their suits,
A RINO Nominee is a Democrat, - - - - one and the same.

Two Party as One Party is what they adore.
“Never give voters a choice,” ( or politicians
Are out of life-time jobs, - - forever more).

As we pay our bills holding our noses as we vote,
The Obamanator holds his cold, steel knife
To America’s throat - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - .

In fact, Rubio's rebuke of Gingrich's ad that went after Romney for being anti-Immigration may have been almost as effective in deflating the Newtmentum in Florida as Romney's negative and egregious ads that targeted Gingrich.

Disagree. Newt's "anti-immigrant" ad was disgraceful pandering to Hispanics, along with his horrid Univision interview with amnesty pimp Jorge Ramos. Romney's call for tougher immigration enforcement is not "anti-immigrant". Illegal aliens are NOT immigrants, they are invaders. This is the one issue keeping me from a gleeful embrace of Gingrich. I will NEVER support Mittens, but Newt's immigration "ideas" are detestable.

I like Rubio a LOT, but he is a former state speaker. You don’t get there by poking the eye of the party insiders.

I am glad Rubio did not endorse, and frankly the two areas where he did insert himself in the race are fair arguments. I think Newt got off message in Florida and went in too many directions instead of sticking to fighting for the conservative positions and laying out where Romney’s political career contradicts FL GOP voters. This has not been a good week for Gingrich, and it is not all inflicted by the other guy.
