Like strong solid bookends on either side of a couple of trashy dog-eared paperbacks, two men that represent the best of what the Republican Party offers made speeches this week. Between them, another accusation-filled debate between the contenders for the GOP presidential nomination.

On Tuesday, Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels gave the party's response to President Barack Obama's State of the Union address. Not only did he clearly articulate how runaway government spending and an unaffordable national debt is the root of our ongoing economic crisis, he proposed common sense and unity where the president has advocated for already failed policies and class warfare.

In today's GOP weekly address, Senator Marco Rubio (R-Florida) continued the charge against Mr. Obama's quest for four more years of failure.

Blog Pimping and implying that RINO Rubio is a great voice, You know how Rubio fully endorses Romney? And does all he can to take out Newt?

So explain to us, how Newt has been “bickering” when he is only trying to undo the lies from Romney's hateful campaign of personal destruction.

Mitch Daniels gave a good speech, but he doesn’t have to defend himself from attacks like Gingrich does.

Certainly we would like to be hearing what these candidates would do to help America, but when one attacks the other must counter-attack to protect themselves. That’s the problem with nasty attack ads, they lower the standards of debate to a pissing contest.

Mitch Daniels? What are you smoking?

Americans Don't Want a 'Truce' on Social Issues - Daniels is misinterpreting the voting public.

We don't want a truce. WE WANT OUR COUNTRY BACK!

America is like a healthy body and its resistance is threefold: its patriotism, its morality, and its spiritual life. If we can undermine these three areas, America will collapse from within. - Joseph Stalin

Mitch ain’t in campaign mode.
Wanna see some of his campaign trail footage?
Were he running for POTUS he’d have to play the same damn game in front of cameras.
