Like George Soros says, “there’s not that much difference between obama and Romney, except a few Supreme Court appointments.”
That article from Boston is very damning.....Shame it’s not running in FL. OTOH how many snowbirds in FL get the Boston news or read it on line.
There was a thread posted this morning from one of of the FL papers. It reported that Rick has cancelled all of his engagments in FL starting today. You might want to look around to see if you can find it and if you want more details. I like him, but think he needs to wait and run in four or eight years. He’s a young man. OTOH he would make a great Attorney General. Principled, educated lawyer
The liberals will clean Romney's clock and yet we have the gop 'pink mafia' establishment willing to LIE to get Romney nomination. The gop 'Big Tent' was transformed into a TARP and NOT a one of the gop will take responsibility for their stupidity... NO they LIE!!!!
Pride .... PROUD-gop was the original sin followed by LIES since the beginning.
Did he duck responsibility for the add or just say that he hadn’t seen it? The two are both possible and he’s got a pretty big machine going in FL. If he had equivocated on responsibility, I think I’d remember but happy to check the transcript.
Mitt is indeed malleable but if you want to make that point I think it weakens your case to point to instances where it wasn’t clearly the case.
Nonsense. He’s supposed to be a leader, and yet he attaches I’m Mitt Romney and I approved this message to ads he hasn’t seen or heard? He ducked responsibilty by asking if Newt said it.
He likes to play the it wasn’t me it was him game. That’s not leadership.
Um “delegation”? I have no problem with him having a team doing the ads provided he doesn’t say that he’s not responsible for the content.
How would it not be relevant if the question was “Did Newt make the statement” to know if Newt made the statement?
You’re free to not like Mitt but that doesn’t make your statement any more rational.
You’re still resoponsible for what’s delegated. His staff intentionally twisted what Newt said and mislead the listeners. Mitt was passing the buck once again. Instead of taking responsibilty for a misleading ad after he was just on his self-righteous high horse about inflammatory language, he chose to pass the buck and deflect the argument away from himself. He’s a scumbag.
If misleading ads are the hallmark of being a scumbag, then Newt gets the title as well. Both sides have done it.
As far as responsibility, we agree. I simply didn’t see anything in Romney’s response that implied he ducked responsibility for the ad. Other than you not liking him, were there any actual words that indicated him ducking responsibility?
Newt is and has always been a provocateur. He could have chosen a number of phrases when describing his preference for English First that would have been less controversial than “ghetto language” for describing native languages. Newt, by choice, has lots of exposure and I don’t feel for him or his supporters when it’s exploited. It’s stupid and self inflicted and it is typical for Newt.
Cain was my first choice but I felt no pity for him when he got smacked around. It’s vetting and it needed to be done. He was not ready for a presidential campaign. Romney got knocked down in SC. The only exception that I took was that Newt and Perry adopted leftie language to make their point. Every candidate needs vetted. Newt will rise / fall depending on how he responds.
I’m so tired of the “other guy is a scumbag” and “my guy can do no wrong” b.s. Have an objective set of standards and apply them evenly. At the end of this, people will have to make a choice to support the nominee or not. Over-emotional histrionics are growing tiresome and are in now way helpful for advancing conservatism.
