Unfortunately, Romney got the better of the debate today. The Gingrich of S. Carolina was nowhere to be found. (He was on the defensive over investments in Freddie Mae, and the notion of colonizing the moon appeared looney to both the audience and the political commentariat.) Santorum was the clear winner and if as a result of today’s performance, his poll numbers go up, this means more votes taken from the Gingrich column. Should this play out, FL which is a must win state for Gingrich and Romney, the outcome in FL will be determinative. If Gingrich self implodes, at least we’ll have Santorum standing.

Santorum ahs no money and less than half Newt’s polling numbers...he would have to trounce Mitt and Newt...not likely

it’s not that conservatives won’t support Santorum it’s just that he is a long shot with poor odds

Newt is at least 50/50

and this is likely the Alamo for the losers....unless it’s Mitt who has the cash to go on forever

what did he spend of his own money in 2008?

25 million or so...maybe more

and he has obviously 90% of all the public faces that pretend to be “conservatives”

were Santorum not in the race ...Romney would be in possibly DOA

nobody has ever spent five seconds attacking Santorum or his record in these debates.. awful easy to look good in a debate where nobody but you does the attacking because you are no threat to win another primary... if Gingrich drops out it’s because Romney ran the board on the delegate count which puts Santorum where?.. oblivion where he is now

the fact is it’s either Gingrich or Romney this election

Florida isn't a must-win. They lost half their delegates for holding an early primary.

Don't let the media spin this primary past its real worth. If Romney wins, they'll say it was a must-win for Newt. If Newt wins, they'll play up the lost-delegates angle, saying the value of the state is diminished.

Don't fall for it.

Santorum has gotten a free pass from the LSM and the RINO establishment, if they get Gingrich he will be in there sights and it won’t be pretty he has no $$$$ to defend himself from what he will face.

If you think he has a prayer you are delusional.
