The fact that her name is Brewer and she was poking her finger--that was all I needed to get the thing going. It was like a cosmic convergence saying, "Here am I! I'm right before your eyes!"

Michelangelo, I think, used to say he'd look at a piece of rock and he'd "see" the sculpture in there. It was just a matter of taking the time to let it loose. Sometimes it is like that for me with puns and parodies. They're just floating in space, perfect things falling out of heaven, ready to be grabbed and used.

Either him or Irving Stone. So maybe it was a stone looking at a rock...or was it a Stone?
