The governor of the state converting a Christian teen into a satanic, anti-Christ cult, to prepare her for his son, is sick, and deadly to the girls eternal life.

I don’t find it ominous for someone to accept Christ, no.

I'm pretty sure 6 generations haven't gone by since 1968 or 1970.

I'm not talking about family generations; I'm talking about generations of sources...this person told that person who told that person -- now you're several "generations" removed from whatever original "source" it was ...and your sources remain unnamed except for one elderly ex-GOP chairwoman for MI.

Elly Peterson was there and says she didn’t hear it. You are trying to prove something. You find me somebody who was there who heard Lenore Romney campaigning in favor of abortion in 1970. Mitt Romney, who would have been at BYU for most of the campaign, hasn’t said he heard his mother giving such a speech or making such a reference. He was speaking in general terms and his memory may not have been accurate. Find somebody who was there and heard it.

Governor Mitt Romney, who has said his abortion stance dates to his mother's 1970 run for US Senate, released a campaign document yesterday that an aide said showed his mother supported abortion rights. Lenore Romney, an unsuccessful candidate for US Senate in Michigan, said in her platform, ''I support and recognize the need for more liberal abortion rights while reaffirming the legal and medical measures needed to protect the unborn and pregnant woman [sic]." She also endorsed ''greatly expanded programs of providing adequate family planning services to all those who want but can't afford them," adding that ''I would oppose any governmental coercion of parents."

Thanks, I remember that article, I used to post it in 2007 and/or 2008.

Like all Romneybots, x just keeps playing the same old broken records, pretending that each day is a new day when it comes to exposing Romney.

The romneybots are cultists, and ignoring what is posted to them, or the facts which are available to them, thread after thread, year after year, is part of what is required to become and stay a cult member.

That is something, and I wish I'd seen it earlier. Still, it does contradict the testimony of people who were around then, including that of William Milliken, who was governor at the time.

If you look more closely in to the matter it's also not clear that the document was a platform or anything that was made public, rather than a draft or a proposal that didn't see the light, so I'd want to know more about it. Every campaign generates a lot of paperwork, and it would be useful to know if this item was for internal or external use.

My point was never that Romney was an ideal candidate or the candidate to support. It's just that a lot of well-known conservatives have endorsed Romney and it wouldn't do to burn all bridges between the supporters of different candidates, especially when none of the candidates is really superior, and each is bound to be a compromise.

Also, sometimes less is more. Exaggerated and alarmist claims are apt to produce a reaction. It's better to rely on what's proven rather than to overstep and end up with claims that are easily refuted.
