Cliff Kincaid at America's Survival has launched a call for Fox News to bring back Glenn Beck.
This announcement comes on the heels of troubling revelations about Beck's firing and other disturbing trends at Fox. It quickly got front-page coverage at the Huffington Post, presumably to launch a campaign of ridicule and smears before Kincaid's idea builds momentum. No matter how much they sneer, the left is terrified of Beck.
Beck's firing was the work of George Soros, Kincaid has revealed. Soros funded Color of Change, the organization founded by Van Jones that launched a boycott against Fox after Beck (really Trevor Loudon) outed Jones as a communist. But Soros is also behind the groups Jewish Funds for Justice and Media Matters, both of which attacked Beck as an anti-Semite for his reporting about Soros' activities during WWII. Soros admitted in a 1998 CBS 60 Minutes interview that as a teenager in Hungary, he had participated in the confiscation of Jewish properties but felt no guilt about it.

I’ve noticed quite a difference in tone of late, too - I wonder if it’s not just the result of SO MUCH pent up frustration, so much fear, anger, feelings of helplessness at our situation today.
Beck, IMO, has never pent up a thing. The man doesn’t even mediate very much of what he thinks before he speaks. He is perhaps one of the most authentic human beings in media.
I do think he is just furious because everything he has researched and presented has turned out to be accurate and yet, he is still derided and dismissed. He always says that he knows *what* is coming/has already happened, but he never knows exactly when. And given the huge numbers of variables, that is a very honest assessment
I give him major credit for keeping on. I think, in his shoes, I would have taken my hard-earned money, prepared a remote island for myself and family and just become invisible.
He is multi-talented and could likely keep himself busy even in a totally private life.
Since I can sift through the bs and decide for myself, I have no problem with FOX.
I wasn’t commenting on Beck, rather about the overall feeling, the tone of some discourse here. I think it’s what happens to a lot of people when they feel helpless.
Good grief, folks! Are we conservatives here or a bunch of uptight feminists? As a woman, I have never taken a COMPLIMENT to somehow mean that I’m less intelligent or intellectually able. Lighten up!
Glen has his weaknesses, but I used to tune in to Fox at 5, when I got home from work, and then would leave it on in the background for most of the night.
Now I don’t tune in at five, and rarely tune into Fox at all.
however, HOPE is a different thing...you can't be brow beaten every single day without a hopeful voice....so while I think Beck is good to listen to, a daily diet of it is just too much....
Yeah, Ditto:
I find myself listening more and more to Radio Classics, (40s & 50s radio dramas and comedies) on XM satellite radio, instead of FOX which is the reason I subscribed to it years ago.
And I have cut way back on listening to Patriot Radio too. Levin is the last reliable conservative there, the last clear thinker there. I’m sick of Hannity’s ‘Little Mary Sunshine’ act and that he lets his leftist friends dominate the show so often.
And the notion that FOX has gotten less conservative is stupid and ignorant at the same time. I prefer "The Five" over Beck at 5:00. You get to see four people, from various levels of conservatism, beat the crap out of Bob Beckel everyday.
O'Reilly is just as bombastic and annoying. Hannity hasn't changed. Greta still loves Sarah and still bores me to death! Shepard Smith is still unwatchable and "Red Eye" ROCKS!
What a crock.
That misses the point, IMO.
These women may be able to hold up their end of a conversation and they all have university degrees. They are hired for their looks. Many, if not most have had to upgrade their looks to the acceptable level of current definitions of beauty (veneers, extensions, facial fillers, etc). They all dress as though going to a cocktail party or out on the town, with plunging necklines and 4-inch heels even at 7 am. The camera operators seem to have instructions to use the camera to leer at their cleavage and legs. The presence of these particular examples of our gender is simply to dress the set. It is a plus if they are also accomplished.
In contrast, the women on GBTV dress appropriately, are attractive without being cosmetically amplified and some on the Real News are actually not ever going to be mistaken for high-priced escorts.
You know there are entire threads on FR where people chime in w/”guilty/not guilty” or “I’d hit it”, based simply on the pic of some female in the news. It started out innocently and became a collection of catch phrases. Basically, it is just a way of electronically leering at some women who ended up with their pic online.
There is a certain cheesy grin men get when speaking with a woman that is not necessarily a compliment. It may be gratifying to our egos, but it is simply an outward manifestation of their arousal level. As such, it can become tiresome. It is much more about them than it is about the female in question.
YMMV.
In that case, I totally agree.
It isn’t just here on FR, either. I get the same vibe reading the comments from around the world on various media sites.
I recall a joke where someone fakes a punch at someone else, pulling it back at the last minute and saying, with a smile: “What free-floating hostility?” There is a lot of free-floating hostility in the world today.
Moutin has a valid point, IMO.
Before we cut the sat TV, we noticed that FNC had *moderated* their tone on the administration. It was around the same time that Beck revealed he had been *approached* by a Soros minion and told to give it up, since they had already *won*.
There have been countless anecdotes over the past several years of various media outlets being warned. zer0 himself takes the time to let Governors know he has read their books and isn’t pleased at how they portrayed their interactions with him. When Beck was on FNC, various NGOs spent a lot of time and money trying to intimidate him out of his job. Why would the TPTB stop at attempting to control one single presenter?
We are all free to get our information where we wish, for the time being. But, it is difficult to not notice that all the mainstream outlets are circumspect and that the *news* becomes more bland by the week. Not only that, but where they do employ a conservative from time to time, in the end, the outlet owns the archival material and can suppress it at will. Eventually, things go down the memory hole and everyone forgets the hard-hitting moments. Beck now owns all his material, he makes it available and he stands in public on his past statements.
Where is that evident anywhere else?

In other words, it’s simply the way men are wired; they’re visual. My response concerned the poster who said Guilfoyle has good legs. I didn’t see anything tiresome about it; it was a man being a man, and giving her a compliment. It’s no more complicated than that. With all due respect, you can say it was more about him than her, but I doubt he would have said the same thing about Rachel Maddow’s legs.
Roger Ailes put Glenn Beck on his network and fought to keep him on even when affiliates were scared off by harassed advertisers and (no doubt) the White House leaned. The show was is a ratings free-fall as Beck got weirder by the day.
I don't know why it isn't enough for Beck to state publicly that WH intimidation had NOTHING to do with his cancelation. Just like it had nothing to do with the cancelation of Rush's TV show after many affiliates dumped it into 3:00am and 4:00am time slots.
FoxNews has never been “RIght”. Maybe just not as overtly liberal as their competition...
I’m not going to a Canadian site. I’ll come back with beige all over me.
Cute.
It is a major conservative site.
I’ll bet half the posters on FR would call them a bunch of RINOs. But you happily embrace a web site that tells you what you wanna hear, while rejecting the ACTUAL PLAYERS, like Beck, who say its not true.
