“The road to hell is paved with good intentions”.
Face palm ( slap!) Honestly, don't you know the meaning of this common expression? It is **not** referring to the person with the good intentions going to literal hell.
“The road to hell is paved with good intentions”. Usually, this means hell on earth for the masses of humanity. This earthly hellish existence is often created for the masses by Useful Idiots and those with good intentions.
Really? Your interpretation is the only one I have ever seen that did not refer to the person with good intentions (apart from the earliest uses of the phrase before they added "the road" but the meaning was still the same). But then I suppose I am just a product of the godless public school system, so what do I know? ;-)
