Exactly how is this the fault of the banks? I know they use pressure to encourage debt but that doesn't mean you have to give in. When I paid off my house they descended like a pack of very friendly wolves to tell me the glories of equity and small monthly fees.

Such kindhearted, compassionate human beings. They signed themselves away into debt and are now violently complaining about it and want the system changed. Whereas, if the banks had not given them the loans for which they applied, they would haven been complaining and rioting because they were poor and needed loan money to get ahead and have the things they needed and wanted.
