Someones head will be on a platter because it should have been covered up completely
Gosh, if only a Ford Fusion could catch on fire. That would take the heat off GM, wouldn’t it?
why not just call it the “CHEVY OBAMA”....because they have hidden the facts about it just like they did OBAMA’S birth, history and school records.
And adds weight...
And adds weight...
The Doltswagen
One was in the guys garage.
Another was post - either crash test or accident. Was not in owner’s possesion.
If gasoline cars had these issues - I think we have 200 MILLION of them on the road - vs like 1,000 Volts - that would be the same as 200,000 spontaneous unintended combustion events - per year. 4,000 per week. 80 per state per week.
I have nothing against technology - but lieing and half truths are not technology.
If I started a car company, and put a few hundred on the road - and had this as my safety record - the governmnet would shut me down in a heartbeat. But - because it is Government Motors - they get love notes for crappy engineering - such as this.
“U.S. safety regulators said Friday that they’ve closed an eight-week investigation,,,”
LOL,, Bet Toyota wishes they coulda got the fast track treatment.

Has said the following about the new Fusion...
"Its rare when a car arrives in a segment that not only redefines it but also completely changes the dynamic altogether, but the Fusion does exactly that. As I said last week, suddenly the Malibu doesnt reach far enough, the Sonata seems stale and the Camry looks easily ten years old. And thats saying a mouthful because those are seriously tough competitors, each and every one. But the Fusion truly transcends the segment, and those worthy competitors have been instantly relegated to second-tier status overnight.?
If this is true, that the Fusion is that much of a game changer, than the Volt is truly Toast....
How much you want to bet, GM cans the Volt before they have to mano-e-mano with this Fusion Energi, especially before the 2012 elections as the Volt might become a metaphorical political millstone around Obama's neck?
Veerrrry interesting indeed.
Modelers use Li-po batteries in their cars and aircraft. Of course they don't weight 450 pounds, but are ALWAYS warned about disastrous consequences of a li-po fire/explosions, usually after even a minor "crash" or mishap...Nothing to sneeze at indeed, and those batteries are between a few grams and MAYBE 2 pounds TOPS. Ever seen a fire from just a small li-po battery? It is REALLY scary, and very difficult to control/put out unless you are prepared.
Now multiply that by like 100 times.
Oh, wait, I forgot. Nothing here to worry about. Just move along folks, keep moving.....
Here is the Lincoln MKZ Concept which is on the same chassis as the Fusion..... Imagine this in a Hybrid or Plug in Hybrid compared to the Volt...
Here is the Interior...
