Drudge helped pick them off one by one.
Now Rush is saying Drudge is “helping” Newt?
Rush is “begging” listeners to accept that he isn’t promoting Newt... Give me a break. Rush has juggled all the candidates so well, never really approving of them, but “liking” them all.
I think Rush will happily be endorsing Romney again.
Drudge is massively biased for Romney. It’s been blatant for months and been getting moreso since the actual voting started. He’s been constantly putting unflattering or shadowy Newt pictures on the top headlines and linking to silly trumped up stories about Newt with misleading negative headlines. Anything bad for Romney is barely mentioned, listed in small print on the site, and disappears from the page fast. When Palin said on FOX that the Dems wanted Romney as the nominee, it took him 2 days to put it up, it was buried under about 10 other links, and it only stayed up for a few hours. The Todd Palin endorsement and Sarah semi-endorsement likewise didn’t get any big prominence on the site. If Sarah had endorsed Romney it absolutely would have been the top headline most of the day barring a major non-political news story.
Painful Truth Bump
Were having much the same discussion with af_vet_rr earlier. It was something that had slowly been dawning these past few weeks, but really was obvious this morning that the only news that was headlining was the bad news, and news that could be viewed as positive for any GOP candidate but Romney/Paul was pushed waaay down the page.
He even started in on Santorum with the nerdy high school photo - seriously - I am pretty leery of Santorum’s affinity for BigGovernment, but come on, any one out there NOT have a painfully awkward high school yearbook photo?!
All I know is that it feels as if we are being herded by folks we never figured would be up for such a thing, and regardless of WHO they are trying to herd us toward, (Romney/Paul), it is more than a little unsettling, and to paraphrase GoCards on a different thread, our options are dwindling rapidly!
The good news is, our eyes and ears SHOULD now be fully open and I for one am ready to align with the coalition that seems to be forming around Newt.

I guess you didn't hear Rush today when he told the lady caller they were "taking Romney out". Rush has been on the Newt bandwagon from the beginning and it is easy to see.
