Nov 14, 2011: Special report: The golden age of opposition research .....Overall, Romney is thought to have the best oppo team in this Republican primary, with Yost as chief of research and Matt Rhoades, another veteran of RNC opposition research, as campaign manager. No one in the Romney organization would comment.

*****************

....."Frustrated rivals think they know the secret: a low-profile, hard-driving Republican operative named Matt Rhoades, who is Romney’s campaign manager. Rhoades met Drudge, as POLITICO Editor-in-Chief John F. Harris and co-author Mark Halperin reported in their book “The Way to Win: Taking the White House in 2008,” when he became research director of the Republican National Committee and was introduced by his predecessor on a special trip to Miami. Rhoades has since been seen as a pipeline to the reclusive Drudge, who now has two veteran Washington reporters working on the site as well.".... Source

It ain’t over yet.

I personally believe Drudge forced ABCs hand on the ex-wife interview; the last thing they’d want to be doing is dribbling this out piecemeal instead of in a headline-grabbing ABC primetime deal.

But the fact is, a lot of people are supporting Romney. But big deal, doesn’t mean I’ll stop using Drudge’s website.

Matt Drudge:

By the looks of this guy, no small wonder he's supporting Romney.

Wifey,

My condolences, I know how hard you worked for Perry.

I have no candidates to really back at 110%, and I know you are smart enough to avoid mittens, so do like the rest of us and muddle through.

I'll do the dishes and run the vacuum cleaner for you next week.

Take care and I really understand how you feel.

Glad to see you back on the board.

I don’t think that Drudge is intentionally keeping Mittens out of the headlines. Milt is just not making any news. He is a dud milquetoast who is sitting on his lead. That is why he is going to be creamed by Obummer.

Are there any stories about Mittens that Drudge sat on this cycle?

Drudge does not appear to hold back on anybody. According to Rush, it was Drudge who ‘smoked out’ ABC by forcing them to change their plans on when to release this.

What Drudge did to Newt is really despicable. We are constantly told that homosexuals can be true Republicans. Yet time and time again we see them put their lifestyle choice front and center above all else. I honestly believe this is some kind of sick vendetta that Drudge had because Newt has spoken out about homosexual sin. If freak Drudge thinks it’s his place to pry into people’s private lives, then he needs to taste his own medicine.

Drudge, is an 'evil' capitalist. His goal is to get people talking about his site and actually going to it. He does a very good job of it.

If he is a fanboy, I would say he is one of Ron Paul.

"Drudge Report" Pulling Romney to the Finish Line

You're missing the point. Drudge is interested in scooping the media. Period. And this is DEVASTATING to ABC News. As far as Mittens, he is toast. The "Massachussetts Moderate" ads have crushed him in S.C., and he was pathetically weak at the debate, and will be again tonight. He is toast.

We wouldn’t be on these sites if it wasn’t for Matt Drudge.

When Drudge broke Monicagate, Bill Clinton’s minions broke the news that Drudge was gay. Drudge responded, in effect, “So what?” And that pretty much put an end to it.

I don’t notice Hillary admitting that she is a lesbian, even though that is supposed to be a Good Thing.

I give Drudge credit. Maybe he is gay, but he is not a gay activist. There is a huge difference. I have had gay friends over the course of my life, and as far as I’m concerned it’s their business, as long as they don’t try to push it on everyone else, including our children.

I have kept an eye on it, out of curiosity, over the years, and I have never seen Drudge report on the many gay controversies that we have been plagued with over the years with anything but neutral objectivity. That’s more than you can say for the MSM, who are constantly pushing the gay agenda. As long as it doesn’t effect his work—and it doesn’t—it’s his business, as far as I’m concerned.

Everybody who supports a particular candidate thinks the media should support their candidate and trash all others. That’s how the RATS work. I don’t want to see that from conservatives. My only objective is to defeat Obama.

Here's one thing to keep your ears perked up for.

Paul is suing about the Huntsman ad with his Chinese children. So far, we are led to believe it was a NH PAC for Paul, but early detective work says it may have come from SF California. Since it made Paul look racist,( which he is), Paul took the hit. Now he's mad.

Looking at the trail, it will most likely be Dem or Romney. Remember Cain's women? He said it had to be Perry. Perry denied. My bet is it turns out to be Romney. He's the one with the money.

Either way, I bet there will be fireworks somewhere down the road.

One could easily claim that Newsmax is pulling for Gingrich.
