I guess we'll find out at 11 this morning, but if true, this is a major development.

Kudos to Perry, he's gotten so much better as the campaign has gone on, so much better that he became my second choice (I would have been happy had he won).

What a strange campaign it's been.

Cheers for Perry. Too bad he flubbed so terribly in the first few debates. He is a good guy. I stand with him in his support for Newt.

Lets hope Santorum does the same.

I’m grateful to the Governor for hanging in there so long. Last debate I heard the other candidates talking more about energy development and state’s rights. Hope it really took with the others because they are critical issues for conservatives.

Thanks, Governor Perry.

Excellent for Perry to endorse Newt.

He gave it his best shot and I think we can respect what he wanted to do.

If this is true, then he’s doing what’s right for the country and I respect that.

I don’t think this is over for him, though. The last few debates proved that he can be an asset to our cause.

Here’s hoping he endorses someone besides Rombama or McNewt. I guess that leaves only Santorum.

At this point today he will endorse Newt. Something pretty dramatic would have to happen this AM before the press conference for him not to. This info. comes a step away from Perry himself. I just got a this from a major Perry donor a minute ago.

This next part is my opinion. This sets up things for Palin to come out for Newt. She would have endorsed Perry if not for his issues in the early debates.

FYI, he jumped in too soon after his back surgery. Perry was in no shape physically and because of that mentally to be in the early debates. He has pretty much recovered.

As of today I support Gingrich.

Santorum has no chance.

He should try and get back in the Senate. We need all the help we can get.

I am sorry that Perry couldn’t have done better. I liked him.

Here’s hoping he can salvage his political career.

At this point, Newt is the one who looks like he has no chance.

Ok.

Though that’s not what all the polls indicate.

“At this point, Newt is the one who looks like he has no chance.”

You mean the only person to get a Standing O in a debate has no chance??

I really like Rick Perry but its just not his year. He is doing the right thing. Hopefully a lot of his votes will go to Newt. Santorum will be out after SC then it will just be Newt and Mitt. Ron Paul is not going to do well in closed primaries.

The polls have been rather unreliable. Delegates so far favor Santorum. The news cycle is starting to kill Newt’s chances with the baggage coming back up. He will be toast long before November.

Rick Perry is an honorable man and a great Conservative- twice the man and twice the Conservative that Santorum is.

Santorum needs to forget his ego, put his country before himself and drop out.

Santorum; Big government spender:

Santorum:

Voted AGAINST increasing the number of immigration investigators:

VOTED AGAINST HIRING AN ADDITIONAL 1,000 BORDER PATROL AGENTS, paid for by reductions in state grants.
http://www.senate.gov/legislative/LIS/roll_call_lists/roll_call_vote_cfm.cfm?congress=109&session=1&vote=00179

VOTED TO GIVE SOCIAL SECURITY BENEFITS TO ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS

Despite initial problems I had with him, Perry improved his image with people like me during the campaign. He had the means to have made a Romney type assault on the other conservatives, and resisted mostly. He is definitely legit vp material.

65% of America is divorced. It's always he said/she said, dudette..

AND all that matters today is Perry saying "I ENDORSE/TRUST/FORGIVE Newt!" which is how we true Christians roll... :~)

THANK YOU, Texas (155 delegates) & Gov Perry!

GO NEWT!!!

Speaker Gingrich-led Republicans….the result: * Voting on each of the Contract with America items * Four consecutive balanced budgets * Over $400 billion of debt paid off * Major welfare reform accomplished * 11 million new jobs for America * Unemployment falling to under 4%.
