Why not vote for the republican on the ballot that you prefer?

“Why not vote for the republican on the ballot that you prefer?”

I’m a Ron Paul supporter, so I will. But there is no way to put a write-in on the ballot.

The whole thing stinks like week old fish.

Arthur H. Bremer has been loose ~ they watch for him in Maryland so I wouldn’t expect any problem there, but the Virginia elite have certainly attracted the attention of folks like ol’ Art there and the other 400,000 madmen on the Secret Service list.

..."Why not vote for the republican on the ballot that you prefer?"...

IMHO, a better idea would be to "boycott" the primaries IF in fact the rules for getting ballot petitions certified were changed arbitrarily or at the last minute.

Better yet, make a fuss of some sort, if your preferred candidate is "inelegible" through no fault of their own!

It just seems to me that it does not advance anyone's cause to vote for a candidate they don't support in the PRIMARY election, just because those were the only two choices...wouldn't that create a completely false situation?? FAR better to have a very low turnout, which would at least send a message from Virginia voters other than (take your choice) "we love Romney/we love Paul"!!

Just a thought! It's not like we're voting against Obama yet, but we need the best possible candidate choices to get to that, and now is not the time to be voting against anyone, simply because you're given a false choice!

If Paul or Romney is your man, then go for it in the primaries...otherwise, wait until there really ARE only two choices across the board...that will be the time to vote AGAINST someone, presumably Obama if you're here on FR... ;)
