Libertarian presidential candidate Ron Paul ranting, raving and screaming for drug legalization 24 years ago on "The Morton Downey Jr. Show". With special guest appearance by Charles Rangel, as The Voice of Reason. Lunacy on parade (on all sides in this freak show of a debate).

I am grateful that Dr. Paul is in the race because he represents individual liberty.

No he doesn't. Another Paul myth. Read what Paul has to say on the inclusion principle of the Bill of Rights. Paul believes State's rights trump individual liberty. He has actually spoken out on things like the Heller decision in that the Federal Government has no jurisdiction to stop a State from trampling on Bill of Rights protected rights.

Paul's philosophy doesn't eliminate tyranny and grant liberty. Paul's philosophy creates 50 State tyrannies to replace 1 federal tyranny. Individual rights take a second place.

At first I thought his show was interesting but I came to see that Morton Downey Jr. was too liberal and was finessing his show to reflect that view.

It did introduce America to famous liberals like Gloria Allred.

I came to see that Morton Downey Jr. was too liberal and was finessing his show to reflect that view.

In retrospect, it's as plain as day. In this example, we have Ron Paul playing the drug-loving crazy man and the communist Charlie Rangel playing the straight, sensible servant of the people.

Ron Paul was either a willing participant in this propaganda charade or too stupid to realize he was being set up. I'm leaning toward the former. The whole thing looks like amateur theater, including Paul's ridiculous performance.

The Ron Paul newsletter from the summer of 1988 (same time as this video) includes the same rant about George Bush dealing drugs in the CIA.

Obviously there is only one explanation, that isn’t Paul you see on video but his ghost writer.

I think it’s him we’re seeing there. The Jews just changed the audio in post-production. SOP for Zionists.

“You would remember that show, you PABULUM PUKING LIBERAL!”

LOL. Did you see the episode when Al Sharpton got his butt kicked?

I’m not sure I knew who Sharpton was back then, so I might’ve seen it and just don’t remember. The only show I remember was one with vegetarians. There was this pasty-faced guy Mort was eviscerating. :)

Thanks for posting. Paul calling out that fatass and rendering him speechless is one of my favorite political clips of all time.

Yeah, they both read their lines beautifully. Andy Kaufman and Jerry Lawler must have been proud.

Well, I can say one thing for Ron Paul, he’s been consistent over the years unlike Romney.
