You know that's an excellent question that I've wondered as I've been seriously prepping for awhile now. I wonder if we can get some good Freeper answers on that. What would you rather have, some extra debt, or prep items purchased with that credit (assuming that's the actual situation).
Obviously that's not going to be most people's situation (i.e. their credit goes to purchasing pleasure and luxuries), but I've wondered about the efficacy of buying preps with credit now, and never seen it addressed.

I guess one way to look at it is to hold off paying off debt until the hyper inflation hits. Then you can pay off your debts with fiat that is worth a lot less.
