I don’t see how or why one might assume there was ever a ‘combination of SOEToro and SOEbarkah’ - why would the two distinctly different names belong to the same individual? Besides, Lolo already had enough names, if you can believe wiki:
Lolo Soetoro, also known as Lolo Soetoro Mangunharjo[1][2] or Mangundikardjo,[3]
It really hasn’t been researched thoroughly, because we have no one who understands the language, nor the naming conventions.
There are no shortages of SOEBARKAH if you look at Google.
I never Googled it. It just seemed to be a combination of his taken sir name and his given first name. Those types of combinations have meaning in places like India. Thanx.
Soebarkah

I ran across these a few days ago. Both threads are about the same blog post explaining the meaning of Soebarkah. I have no idea how accurate it is.
Here’s a link to a rather cogent explanation about the Soebarkah name/naming pertaining to Obama. It’s a long read and somewhat inconclusive... what isn’t inconclusive about Obama?
From another site- I gathered Soebarkah meant ‘son of’ Soetoro.
Points to a legal action/adoption and the mommy likely felt compelled to include it as an assurance of complying with some kind of legal requirement, whether driven by Indonesian or US laws. (my inference)
Obama learned about cryptic behavior and it’s benefits early on. The apple don’t fall too far from the tree.
PS Here’s another well sourced blog with links to other sites doing quality research.

I have a knack for asking the right questions of search engines (most of the time.) I ask (of the search engines) as if a person was standing before me listening to my question.
My latest question asked of the magic 8 ball was: explain why Obama is named Soebarkah?
Keep Digging!
