they are playing statistical games

to get the RIGHT unemployment numbers... it should be a per capita concept. ie:

# jobs per 100,000 people.

if unemployment is going up... the # jobs per capita would drop. this would also take into account an increase in population

it would also be easy to spot the # jobs per capita in local areas

Even 12 percent is better than the 17 percent it was a little while a go. I want people to work but losing 5 points is not good. The trend is not good politically.

the per capita concept would also not all for people to ‘fall off’ the tail end of unemployment

although it would require accurate local census information

Real unemployment was 17 to 21% a couple years ago. So now that there are fewer people working it is 12%?
