I get tired of people saying God's hand determines the outcome (not that He couldn't). This is about a man having enough faith to give 100% all of the time. He will win some and lose some, but his faith transcends into leadership and an infectious attitude among his fellow players. The secular press despises him because he has faith and has chosen to lead an exemplary life while other players provide them with headlines detailing their drug use and abusive acts. We could all learn a lesson from this, observing that faith binds the team together in a common cause. Just imagine what a Congress could do with such faith. Oh, I forget, that happened in 1775.

Amen.
Though the question about whether God determines outcomes—predestination “vs.” freedom—is a deep theological one.
Has anyone written intelligently about Tebow’s affect on his teammates? Do they love him? Hate him? Would they go to Thermopylae with him? Is anyone going back to Church after being away? How did he get along at Florida? Are they proud that they played with him?
