He looked pretty good throwing the ball today, except for a few plays. I’ve been saying he should improve steadily. You’d think professional coaches could get a kid with all the tools passing pretty well before long.

Well, as for passing, Tebow has a better record than horse-teeth Elway did at the same point in his career. And btw, "QB rating" (125 tonight, a stellar rating) includes passing only, does not take into account Tebow's running contribution.

I don't know how much better you can be in your second half-year.

He’s still not a good passer. Just barely adequate. His pass to get a third down before the Steelers got their last possession was awful. But the last pass of the game looked decent. What Tebow has as a plus is excellent scrambling ability and the body of a running back. Add to that confidence and the composure to make the play. He’s like Favre in that respect although he isn’t close to Favre’s arm. Quite a few of his passes wobble. He doesn’t have bad arm strength, but he’ll really have to work on his release and accuracy. However, I think the Bronco’s are quite happy with him at the moment. Winning is the only stat that really counts.
