Representative Hansen Clarke (D-Mich) insists that despite the reluctance of the American driver to buy these cars we must not falter in our efforts to make them understand the necessity for governments role in ensuring the Volts survival. Its not just about dollars and cents. Sure there are cars that get better mileage and have superior performance characteristics, but our government is backing the Volt. If we want to be good citizens and patriotic Americans we need to put the governments choice ahead of our own selfish preferences.
WHATTT!!!! what further proof do you need???
everything DEMOCRATS touch turns to crap...and this is the Logic?? I’m “Selfish” to want a good Car? I’m selfish to
want my Tax dollars to not be squandered???
do you need any more proof that Democrats should Never be allowed to hold Public office!!!!!
Obama is the ring Master of this Loony asylem!!!!

United Autoworkers Local 22 President, George McGregor, argued that people who are loyal to the President will put the good of the country ahead of their own private interests. Just because you can buy a better car for less money shouldnt deter you from getting behind the Presidents push for the Volt. Jobs are at stake. Isnt that more important than whether your personal vehicle is the best value? I can actually hear a union thug saying this. Just as they are now saying, "Just because union people know that ObamaCare really sucks, we aren't going to prevent the American people from having to endure it. We just don't want it and don't want to have to pay for it."

Jeez, what I really want, a Chinese made Chevy Volt. Lets see, a nation making moldy drywall, poisioned pet foods and children’s toys with lead paint - not to say dangerous cars, will be building Chevy Volts for the US market. I will buy one if they throw in a Vette, fire insurance, and a month of Tony Stewart driving me around.

Even though this is satire, I have to ask, WHO, in his right mind, would even WANT an electric car ... for ANY reason?

Expect big brother to finance it and one day make ownership required by law.
