I like Perry a lot. He just can’t think on his feet. How do you think he will fare against a hostile media and toe to toe with “the one”? I wish he were more articulate and didn’t have brain fog but he does. This just can’t happen. He is not going to get the nomination.

Perry's problem is that he comes across as a dumb, fumble-mouthed Texan. He reminds voters of a previous dumb, fumble-mouthed Texan. That may work in Texas, but it doesn't play well in most of the rest of the country.

I agree with Perry on federalism, the Tenth Amendment, etc., and he may be a fine governor, but that perception--of his own making--is what he needs to overcome, and it may be too late.
