What he is saying is that there is a difference of opinion between pro life conservatives and pro choice libertarians whose credo is non aggression except against the weakest among us. The latter are a joke.

Libertarians are leftists who share conservative economics, they are a Trojan horse that can destroy conservatism if they succeed in promoting leftist social liberalism and goals.

The Libertarian party represents the Libertarian ideal, and we can see those goals in it’s party platform.

The way this guy could win would be to put emphasis on putting health care on the free market. Talk about how the free market reduced costs for car insurance and phones and how it would do the same for health insurance. Many many people do NOT have health insurance in this country, and being that so many are unemployed, just getting a check up is a huge problem. And these people will vote for our first foreign born Islamic President again on that item alone. It absolutely amazes me how none of the so called Repubs are tackling this issue. I do not like ANY of these idiots the Repub party is shooting forth. Romney is Obama Mormon version. Newt is a psycho. That leaves Santorum, the only TRUE Conservative who I always liked. He has GOT to focus on that health care issue because not only will it prick up the ears of the undecided, but it will also remove our first foreign born Islamic Presidents #1 salvo. Healthcare is JUST like car insurance. Only you can’t get an oil change because of 10,000 Government regulations and free market oppression. Remember when your car insurance use to cost 1000s of bucks every year especially if you has an accident? Today thanks to free market they ask you to NAME your own price! THEY BEG! Institute “pay you lose” like they do in England for lawsuits and free market Capitalism and even illegals will be able to afford health insurance.

In terms of federal policy there is quite a bit of overlap between libertarian philosophy and conservative "original intent" constitutionalism. This is because the original intent of creating the national government was to do the things that would be impossible or impractical for the States to attempt to do individually, or collectively (provide for national defense, resolve and prevent trade disputes among the States, negotiate treaties with foreign government, etc.).

It was intended to be the government of the States, and was not intended to involve itself in the day-to-day affairs of individual citizens.

I think “librarians” in headline was meant to be Libertarians... And I too am suspect of Tea Part Libertarians - especially those that would think highly of Ron Paul... if Rick Santorum is against them, I would have to concur.

Yes, he has it wrong. Libertarians beleive in no norm of morals or ethics in the public square and in private enterprise. I take that back. Some are into morals - amorality or morality up-side down. Some celebrate political correctness where evil is pushed on society and religious freedom is banned by private enterprise and government.

Libertarians permit the government under the original constitution.

However, Santorum would be a great, old fashioned King of England where he could dictate all he wants and beleives to everyone in the country and world.

The title doesn’t make sense.

It reads: Rick Santorum shortens libertarians

..“vocally, publicly oppose” the Tea Party, is ambiguous

It seems pretty clear he is referring to the libertarian movement within the Tea Party. He said the movement within the Republican party and Tea Party trying to change conservatism. He didn't oppose the Tea Party but opposed it changing.

This is laughable. He’s been pretty silent in “vocally opposing” Tea Parties. Bob

I thought this was a joke. Rick Santorum is against diminutive ladies at the library? What a jerk!

Then I read Jacobsen’s title.

Great. Every guy I like has a bimbo problem. Cain was all up in the white admin assistants, newt was into the teachers, and now we learn Santorum is all up against the short librarians. Probably so they fit behind the book rows better.
