I only have one issue I disagree with.

You think Santroum outsides Perry in terms of experience.
Not sure how an x senator can compare to a long time sitting Govenor and previously the LT Govenor ????

What am I missing here ? ( waiting for my lightbulb moment to flicker on )

You raise a very good point, and one i have a lot of sympathy for, and maybe even agree with. Senators historically have made lousy presidents. It could be argued that the reason “that man” has been such a crappy occupant is more because he was a senator and less because he’s a left wing, idealogic, america-hating communist. Senators are by nature gutless yellowbellies. They should be shunned after service. They rarely have to take a stand and when they do, it’s only when they are forced to the wall. They resemble weasels, crawfish.

The only problem is that Gov. Perry has some of those same tendencies himself. And I feel in my gut that he will raise taxes. I don’t give a fig about him tripping over his tongue in the debate.

I think Santorum has more spine, though I know there are some here who would disagree with me. Moreover, as a senator he has more experience with defense and international relations.

Actually, I think either would make fine managers of the country and that goes a long, long way with me these days. The reason I am tilting away from Perry is because he has that bad bad habit of campaigning conservative and governing liberal. I don’t quite trust him.
