Just what Congress needs, a new Kennedy. Dont underestimate the sheeple mentality here in Mass, especially in Fwanks ultra-liberal district. They have no problem voting for someone based solely on his last name.
(FOX 25/MyFoxBoston.com) There is new speculation that Joseph P. Kennedy III is ready to run for Congress.
Sources close to Kennedy have told Rhode Island Public Radio that the 31-year-old son of former Congressman Joe Kennedy is setting up fundraisers and taking a serous look at running for the seat left open by the retirement of Barney Frank.
The younger Kennedy is a Harvard Law School graduate and is currently a Middlesex County prosecutor. He could announce his plans within a week.
Currently his dad,
Cousin. But I got your point.
Actually the dad’s annulment was never finalized - and in fact was overturned - and his new marriage ceremony was civil. The dad cannot receive the sacraments due to his persistent public sin (living in sin when he is still in a sacramental marriage to Sheila Rauch).
Howie already talked about this.
There is always a Kennedy around here threatening to run for office. Always has been always will. It usually never happens.
FWIW his father was a one term congressman. The Kennedy thing in Massachusetts is way overblown.
But it’s their duty to go into “public service”. God, how I hate that term.
Some video and audio of him from 2010. That year he was considered a poss. candidate for the seats of Mike Capuano (the 8th, formerly held by JFK, Tip O’Neill, and Joe II)
or William Delahunt (10th), “should he retire”. (He did, and Bill Keating got the seat. This piece of video says that while Joe III was ruling out the run at that time (May 2010)
he wouldn’t rule it out for the future...

“Fleecing while you wait”
Maybe that's why, but also, since Joe Jr died in 1944 in the war, and Joe II was born in 1952 when Joe Sr was still alive, that made him Joe II.
If Joe Jr had survived the war, would Joe II have then been Joe III in 1952? I know it's a silly question for most FReepers, but it is intriguing to me.
Is this the one that Chavez has Citgo paying a consulting fee to or is it the older Joe?
I wonder if there will be hefty campaign contributions from Anheuser-Busch, Segrams, and Jack Daniels?
Ted will drink to that!
Attention: This is not even close to an anti-Irish sentiment. Every masshole, for reasons quite beyond me, seems to identify with the Ould Sod ... even a Jewish Old Sod like Barney Frank ... aka "The Bugger of Bayonne," (Ah 'tis a fine broth of a sodomite he is!) and John Kerry, Leader of the Faux Hibernian Club.
The local Kennedy Idolators practically had me run outa town when as a selectman during the JFK Naming Frenzy, I tried to have the town's new sewage treatment plant named after him. Reckon there was more massholes infesting Maine even then than I had accounted for!
BTW, the kid at least looks like he has a few more marbles than Patches, but then, that is a pretty dismal standard.
You instead of bringing CAMELOT, you will bring CAMEL DUNG.
Barney’s seat is wide open.
We should start a contest..guess the date that Pelosi first predicts that the Dems retake the HOuse and shee becomes Speaker again..
JoeIII would have been reserved for the spawn of JoeJr.
At least they stopped making Oldsmobiles.
>>it’s NO fun being in the minority in the House. That’s why so many Dems have retired
Exactly, very good point. Bill Delahunt (MA-10) retired in 2010 and this time around we see that Barney Frank (MA-4)
and John Olver (MA-1; he’s very old) are not running for
re-election. Redistricting—10 seats into 9—may have lead
Olver into his decision (before Frank made his) but indeed
the “no fun if GOP controls house” is HUGE.
