It will be the same dynamic with Trump. And like Perot, pay close attention between Obama-Trump and Clinton-Perot, especially money.

Who knows? maybe Trump can win? Just because he’s in the race doesn’t mean you have to vote for him. I think he may seal a lot of Democrat votes as well. Trump can only be a menace if the GOP selects Mittens. I would like to hear Trump in a debate—It would be entertaining if nothing else. the time is different than it was when Ross Perot ran.

Perot gave us Clinton—You say this like it was a bad thing. Yes, Clinton was a rascal and an sex fiend but—we knew this when he ran. He brought us peace—he had the economy booming—he brought in welfare reform and a balanced budget—He listened to Newt and the GOP—Something Obama can’t do. In retrospect Clinton wasn’t so bad. Could Bush I have done this if he was elected? I don’t think so. When he saw the American People didn’t want Hillarycare—he pulled back and didn’t shove it down our throats. Old Boy politician, rat, and all be still wasn’t a bad president—not like Mr. Obama.

I don’t think the Donald is interested in becoming the most reviled person in America which is what will happen if he tries to run third party.

Those who still listen to or watch Beck take note: he was trying to push a third party with Sanjaya at the top but since he is such an embarrassment he has apparently switched horses. Whatever happened to Beck we might never know all I know is he is now my political enemy.

Clinton’s reign involved constant war, but it was never labeled as such.
The economy, well, he saw a huge rise in public debt, and at the same time the amount of money Americans had in savings went down by probably a factor of 20, while at the same time American CC debt went up by about the same amount. A large amount of cash flowed for sure, but I don’t think that was good, or sustainable. An example is the money that flowed to lawyers for the tobacco settlements.
The Antiterrorism Act of 1993 was voted in under Clinton. When the Left howls about the Patriot Act, the things they dislike were all in the AT bill Clinton signed, wiretaps and all. When it became Patriot, Bush took the heat.
Clinton signed The Telecommunications Act that gave us cell phones. It has an interesting provision in it, it gave phone companies the ability to override local zoning boards, a big violation of the balance of power. Yes we have cell phones, but now FedGov and huge corporations can directly override the votes of the people, even a unanimous vote.
Otherwise I agree with you, Clinton on the whole was not that bad, certainly not as bad as I thought he would be.
I will admit—Somalia and Serbia were boondogles—under Clinton but he was better than Obama. He could Feel you pain—he he could make you believe it (twitching lower lip and all). Obama hasn’t the ability to do this.
