"Romney is exponentially better than Obama."

True, but is that enough? The USA is being driven over the cliff by the Federal Government under control of the political class.

Let's run the numbers. Let's say Romney is 10 times better than Obama. Also, to save the country, we need someone 100 times better than Obama. Electing Romney will make no difference in our fate. Therefore, electing Romney is a waste of time and in the end will only hurt the cause of constitutional government.

I understand fully your argument, but I don't think it's an all or nothing at this point. We need to at least slow down the momentum of the progressive decline of the US into a European-type socialist welfare state. In that context, any of the Republican candidates would be better than letting Obama - unleashed by a second term - accelerate his agenda. Think of it as having an infection. To cure it you need antibiotic X, which isn't available right now. Antibiotic Y is at least 10x less effective, and ultimately won't cure the infection, but it can slow down the infection and prevent septic shock until a better antibiotic is obtained. I'm not, as I said, a Romney fan, and I am certainly not pushing his candidacy, but I think defeating Obama is too important at this point.
