RED States and women everywhere will Elect Newt. Over and over again.

Other than the fact that U.S. citizens can't legally vote more than once, your statement that women will support Newt is false.

Please consider the following excerpt from a conservative blog and political ally - Redstate.

"A considerable majority of American women will not vote for him because of his past marital actions of betrayal Most American women whether they be Democrat, independent, or Republican will not vote for a man who cheated on his previous wife(s). Among women, men like this cannot and will not be trusted. People like to point out that Ronald Reagan had two wives. The key thing is Ronald Reagan never cheated on Jane Wyman, his first wife. She left him because there was nothing left in common between them as she claimed. That is a very big difference."

You may say "What about Clinton and his first election?". Remember, he went on 60 Minutes with Hillary and she covered for him. He still didn't get 50% of the vote, but won the election - thanks to the 3rd Party Nut Ross Perot.

“Romney has been a punching bag on Free Republic for years because he is a closet Liberal. Romney has no chance of winning the Republican nomination. NONE.”

I agree with everything you wrote here except that I don’t think it is fair to call Romney a “closet liberal”.

His record as a liberal politician cannot be kept in the closet. It just seems like a closet because so many credulous Republicans who fall for the RINOs everytime - refuse- to do any due diligence on the candidates with whom they fall in love. It’s the same reason why millions of people are deceived by cults.

“If we must have an enemy at the head of Government, let it be one whom we can oppose, and for whom we are not responsible, who will not involve our party in the disgrace of his foolish and bad measures.”
- Alexander Hamilton

THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART VMIVO100. I love that quote and Hamilton is the founding father for whom I have the most admiration. He had some flaws as all men do but he was awesome!

We must draft, nominate and elect Sarah Palin president in the most crushing tidal wave of enthusiastic good judgment ever seen in the history of this nation. With that one bold move we will accomplish the dual goals of seeing America led by the greatest natural born leader in our generation, even as we witness the final implosion and last agonized shrieks of our endlessly lying extreme left loonies. Their entire movement, from the fabricated attacks on Bush beginning with ‘Blood For Oil’ to the crammed-down-our-gullets lies of Obamacare and the Shovel Ready Stimulus, have been nothing but one vile deceit heaped upon another. Such an absolute inability to deal in the truth or to face the facts of our situation and its solutions only proves that there is simply no place at the grown-ups’ table for these diseased sputa. Good riddance to rubes and bad rubbish. Time to usher in the American Renaissance, carried in on the invigoratingly freshening breeze of President Sarah Palin.

My candidate of choice for drafting has always been the distinguished gentleman from SC - Jim Deminst. He is indefatigable in his campaigning for conservatives nationwide. He pisses off the RINO establishment and he is an incredible statesman.

I like Mitt Romney. He should run for the nomination on the Democrat ticket, slightly to the right of Obamao.

Conservatives support those like Newt who acknowledge their past faults and have turned their lives around.

If the libs think Conservatives will not support a contrite repentant Newt Gingrich, they are mistaken.

The Libs think they can use this against Newt? He has acknowledged his past mistakes and is now a Grandfather and repentant for his past mistakes. The Libs are CLUELESS about Conservatives and how those on the Right and average Independent voters understand that people fail and support them when they choose to acknowledge and then stop that behavior.

Newt is currently in a committed relationship. He is a Grandfather. He acknowledges that he was wrong and has sought and received forgiveness from those he wronged. The left only hopes this will be stumbling block for voters against Newt, but it won't. People embrace and accept genuine repentance from those who acknowledge they are not perfect.

Apparently the idea is there is a certain type of Republican/conservative that can’t win the GOP nomination, but could win the general?

I’d be fascinated who that is?

EXACTLY. We have listened to the “moderate” wing of the GOP and voted for thier nominees for decades out of fear. Where has it gotten us? Where might we be had we stuck to and voted our principles instead of listening to their specious platitudes about “who is capable of winning a general election....”?
