Personally, I dont care what Michelle Antoinette wears on her taxpayer-funded lavish Hawaiian vacations with her husband President FailureTeleprompterDuffer. Thanks to an autobiography that was probably ghost-written by domestic terrorist Bill Ayers, Obamas a millionaire and more power to him. If the First Lady wants to lord over the peasantry her fashionable dresses and skirts and purses that cost enough to feed about 500 hungry families, thats Our Champions Of The Poors business. The same is true with what the GOP chooses to spend their money on during a campaign.

And none of the MSM brown-nosers will mention that Michelle Obama dresses like an explosion in a thrift shop
Thing is Sarah looks good in her wardrobe. Mrs. Obama looks street cheap.
2008 That Sarah Palin spent 500 bucks on clothes!
2011 Ignores Moochelles $4 million dollar vacation in $3000 duds.
The media can re elect him single handed, just watch.
I can’t believe that her sun dress cost $2000. $59.95 would be more like it. I sew, and that dress has 1/2 day’s labor in it.
Good point.
There are lots of ways to say what I'm thinking about this, but one song comes to mind:
"...we live in a timeIn other words, it seems that in this day, everything is beautiful except beauty itself.
when paintings have no colors, words don't rhyme..."
At least Sarah looked good in the fancy duds.
Sarah has a world-class a$$; Moochelle is a world-class a$$.
Ah, no...that sundress cost someone ELSE $2000. Namely, us.
Let alone the Wookie using up 3 fields of cotton to cover herself when Sarah is the true liberal concerned about the planet and uses only just over 3 cotton plants to cover herself fashionably.
That green flowered skirt is hideous.
While I realize that Politico is playing for Team Obama, the Politico articles cited in the story have to do with the propriety of using campaign funds on clothing for Palin, who was running for office in 2008 (turned out it was perfectly legal). Michelle Obama wasn’t running for anything, and there’s no indication in the story or the linked articles that her clothes were paid for by campaign funds.
You can’t make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear.
You cannot dress Michelle and not have her look like a clown.
More than what it would cost to acquire the sails of a clipper and all the clipper has is a modest usable Stern to steer....
And Governor Palin's clothes came from donated campaign funds, which is perfectly legal.
I enjoyed when she wrote about that in Going Rogue...when the media started freaking out about her wardrobe, she just said "to heck with it" and started campaigning in jeans.
She looked just fine doing so and I think it gave her even more of an edge in being in touch with her audience.
“”I cant believe that her sun dress cost $2000. $59.95 would be more like it. I sew, and that dress has 1/2 days labor in it.””
Sounds about right for material, pattern, thread, zipper and labor. Why don’t we all start sewing for her and send the outfits to the WH? That would be a blast!! Suppose she’d give us her size????
If she or he had one ounce of concern (or common sense)for the American people, those without jobs, the economy, or the country’s future, they would know without being told that these trips of theirs and the expense incurred (clothing included) are a slap in our face. Is that their intent? Why can’t the people they pretend to care about and are counting on for their votes see that? Are they blind?
Reminds me of years ago when my uncle had on a bright Hawaiian shirt. He ask my other uncle how he liked his shirt. The answer was “Looks like a paint factory blew up!”
I still laugh when I think of the two of them (long gone)may they rest in peace!
Would that be unionized labor?
Would that be unionized labor?
Dutch girls have such a cool f***d-up bizarre fashion sense. You'll see a girl wearing a pink crepe de chine blouse and a lime-green silk floral-print skirt with black leather culottes and a fedora and NATO surplus jumpboots and she still manages to project a plausible intentionality of coherent overall effect... an aura of reassurance that she is not spectacularly psychotic, merely very stylish.
Not me, some other bloke... Monkeybagel...
Mo doesn't pull it off.
