You guys are too funny, you’re frothing at the mouth over Ron Paul and how he’s going to destroy this country and that he’s a crazy racist and oh throw in that he’s a 9/11 truther. Must be the devil himself running for president!

But who are you supporting? A bunch of RINOs that once in office won’t do squat to bring down the size of government or do anything about the loss of freedoms we have suffered in the past few decades. Don’t know what you guys are smoking but it must be pretty good stuff to keep you from seeing that the establishment RINOs are no better than the current RATS in charge right now. And in case you haven’t noticed the US has already been pretty much destroyed both socially and economically thanks to government regulations, over-spending, incentivizing the off-shoring of manufacturing, promising more ($33 Trillion more for entitlements than we have according to the latest GAO report), etc. Stick a fork in us because we are most certainly done. And yet you guys froth at the mouth and spray spittle all over the place over Ron Paul. You should wake up, why do you think the MSM, the RATS and the RINOs are so terrified of him actually getting into power? Maybe because they know he’s crazy enough to actually try applying the breaks before we hit the wall at 100 mph and maybe cut off the gravy to these pigs in Wall Street.

I don’t think that Ron Paul has a chance in hell of getting elected given the political climate that we’re in. But it is entertaining to see a supposedly “conservative” web-site betray every conservative ideal that they have just to keep the most “conservative” candidate from office. I’ll laugh like hell when I read in 2013 you guy crying about all the rotten stuff that the RINO you elected is doing. You’re delusional if you think any of them will change things.

be careful... see post (#11).. you can get deleted for posting about Paul. I am a conservative, but a casual observer as I am not happy with the field. Be careful, apparently Paul posts can get you deleted.

Don’t worry, Romney will save us. His “conservative” version of ObamaCare is second to none.

The problem with your argument is that it is pretense with the notion that Ron Paul is a Conservative. That is a false notion and dooms your argument from the beginning. Ron Paul is no Conservative I've ever studied.

Actually, I've always liked him, and I agree with your assessment. However, his career is as a political campaigner. I like how he adds to the discussion. So I donate money to his campaigns at the start.

Ultimately the President is the CEO and CIC, and chief protector of the Constitution. I really have to ask, which candidate makes the better executive, the executive who must select the people who will carry out the duties of the government? Which candidate has the experience to understand the role of CIC and order the effective direction of the armed forces? Which candidate will respect the limits on government set forth in the Constitution?

I think Candidate Ron Paul falls terribly short as to CEO/CIC experience, but his respect and understanding of the Constitution exceeds all others as much as the Sun outshines the stars.

Civilization is on the edge, and we need a candidate who is the most effective in all of the respects above, not just one. The Democrats have not fielded a candidate with these qualities in the history of my adult life. They seek naked and uncontrolled power to impose their misguided ideal upon us all, and when they achieve it, they are tyrants - and proud of it. We need someone who may successfully oppose this. If we can't achieve this, I fear we will see the fall of the American civilization in my lifetime. Already it may be too late to prevent the catastrophe.

reading your #45 I can only argue the degree of your result, and only part of that.

Agreed, Paul hasn't a chance in hell of election - but, if he pulled off the nomination we'd be assuring more Obama.

Agreed, there's a pot load of RINOs being offered and probably the most RINO being touted as the for-sure nominee - in an "anyone but Obama" election the GOP is doing it's best to revisit 2008.

As for "frothing at the mouth over Ron Paul" I imagine you have read nearly identical comments made about each of the hopefuls - OK, granted that Crazy isn't so often used - but you need to allow me and others an opinion, and that is, sadly, nuts.

Fact is, if you took a poll of FR, there's NO ONE that even a large minority here is in love with. I like Bachman but she can be pretty zany herself, I like Santorum but he's about as exciting as gravel, I like Newt's brain but he did screw up when he had the chance and deep down I wonder about someone who writes alternative histories, Romney is probably less popular here than is Paul, and the beat goes on.

My real concerns with Paul are:
(a) He gives the other side someone to point at while repeating "see...we told you so". And;
(b) In the event he was actually elected be would havde to rule very much like Obama in order to do any of the things you cited.

Ron Paul isn't a conservative. He's a libertarian, and he's an anti-Semitic, Iran-enabling truther who thinks America is responsible for 9/11.

If you're going to post, get it right.
