Dems for Obama (there are pics of them with Obama and in his campaign offices) were filing ethics suits one after another. They cost nothing to file. It cost Alaska several million dollars to fight and man hours. The state became bogged down and was not accomplishing anything. They were searching for records for the lawsuits. Every single one was dismissed. Palin was $500,000 in debt on a $125,000 salary from lawyers fees. Neither she nor the state could afford any more lawsuits. She resigned.

Is this really the way it works in Alaska? Is it so easy and cheap to file multiple suits, and so hard and expensive to deal with them? It sounds like it would be easy to cripple and bankrupt the state with frivolous lawsuits, no matter who was governor, then.

If the legal system in Alaska really is that bad, the thing to do is to take it to the people, and expose their game, and get it changed, not cave in to the intimidation.

Yes it is that way in Alaska. One must remember that the state is more than twice the size of Texas, has roughly 850,000 TOTAL and more than half that is in Anchorage with another 35,000 in and around the Mat-Su valley.
The state is pretty must full of Federal workers and Native Services as they are the ones who were here first but instead of indian type of Casinos they get the best hospitals and often pay the best wages at the mines.
Alaska has periods of boom and bust, when Sarah was at the helm it was mega-boom, work was all around and everybody prospered. But since she left it has waned and we are just coasting along almost on level ground with hardly any momentum now.

But being Alaska and being geographically isolated there isn’t the daily threat of more and more people crossing a nonexistant border, if anything the census has shown a dip in numbers. The oil revenues have been dropping and the rumors are that the bloated amount of State and Federal assistance programs are going to close up shop. But because the state doesn’t have millions of welfare recipients its not a big issue unless your job is being part of that social care program.

So without a populace needing help they won’t get funds,so they are folding shop.
Alaska is like a field that you grow crops for a couple of years and then you let it go unseeded for a year to recuperate. Back when Sarah again was Governor there was all these little remora fish floating around the political sharks like Murkowski, just living to snatch a morsel of food.
I know of people in the past that were targeted by lawyers, all they built for all the years in Alaska wiped out overnight. We had one such character called “Wild Bill” he had a tirade against Lawyers like you cannot fathom, he drove a panel van around the valley with anti-lawyer messages all across it, he even had a toilet up over the cab telling how lawyers destroyed his lifestyle, I knew Wild Bill personally, he was a raving genius and I mean that, he was an Alaskan type of Ben Franklin and Nikolai Tesla, and people were afraid of him.
sadly he passed away years ago, I still have equipment that I bartered from him.

Lawyers can and will destroy a family, a person or a business in Alaska because Alaska is still a frontier in many respects. All it takes is an outside source of nearly unlimited funding and an agenda. Its a bad deal that people just cannot accept is possible, its here and I know it first hand as I have also seen it happen to Sarah Palin, there is almost no defense against it. Unless you have a bigger army, and in the last year all I have been seeing is a bunch of couch potato armchair generals afraid to get out and get the troops motivated.

I don’t blame Sarah Palin for ignoring America, America needs to literally march to her doorstep and apologize, and to pledge loyalty. Thats it. Period.
