I cannot wait for Ameritopia to hit. Mark Levin is very articulate when he talks about the dangers we face as free citizens of this country. These are the kinds of comments which are timeless, as the majority of human history is not one of liberty, it's one of administrative states, "the divine right of kings", and even outright brutal bloody tyrannies.

The tyranny of utopian schemes - Mark Levin

TOPICS: Education
KEYWORDS: blogpimpin; impimpinagain; progressingamerica
On December 13th, Mark Levin read an excerpt out of his upcoming book Ameritopia, talked about Alexis De Tocqueville, and the dangers of the administrative state.

All forms of utopia are both seductive, and dangerous. No matter what you call them or how they sell themselves. Socialism, communism, fascism, and progressivism.

"the divine right of kings"

What we see today is far more dangerous. In some cases, the kings of old did have a Divine Blessing to rule.

What we see today are atheistic marxists who eschew religion of any kind, and whose authority relies solely upon their ability to keep power.

The constraint on liberty within this constitutional electoral system is the corruption of the media in limiting honest debate. It’s been that way for a long time, has always been the great distorter and continues to operate perhaps with greater efficiency than ever. It’s what this site is about, in my humble opinion.

IMHO they have cleverly substituted the religions of Gaia who is worshiped by being 'green' and and Globalism which is honored by 'free trade' and profit above all.

I hope he dedicates an entire Chapter to that little effiin doosh Mike Bloomberg, Mayor or should I say Dictator of New York city who I have to live under everyday. "Let me ban smoking in bars and ban soda and oily foods but tell children it's OK to ride their bikes around speeding taxis and trucks because it stops global warming." Yeah smoking will kill everyone but kids getting crushed by trucks is OK.

And if his nanny state edicts aren't bad enough, his cronyism is absolute hell on earth. Absolute idiots left and right who haven't one iota of a clue what the hell they are doing. For example his Transportation Commissioner, cocktail party elitist Janette Sadik-Kahn. Law degree and degree in Political science. This qualifies her to run the entire transportational system of New york city which means she doesn't run it because she hasn't a clue what the hell she is doing. If traffic is bad in one area you can rest assured she will make it a 1000 times worse. "Wow traffic is really bad here so let me spend millions the city doesn't have to reduce the entire street from 3 lanes to 1 lane! Awesome!" Yes making peoples lives a living hell who just want to get to work, torturing truck drivers who just want to make deliveries is fun because it's more important to allow a moron to play commissioner all so Bloomberg can play "feminist" and impress plastic surgery addicted shopping whores at the next Hamptons polo event.

America stopped being a free country the moment income tax was introduced. Thank you Woodrow Wilson. Thank you Democrats.

I'm convinced that the ballot box doesn't work anymore. It will be the cartridge box that solves the problem. It always has and always will be that way.

Like it or not.

This is right on. What fools we are to vote. It just gives these elites credibility & makes them stronger because they see have stupid the sheeple have become.

The cartridge box will make things far worse. This country doesn't have the moral capacity to use violence to achieve more liberty.

“the corruption of the media in limiting honest debate”

Isn’t the Internet a major counter balance to the MSM, allowing for almost unlimited honest debate? And in reality, aren’t those who take the MSM seriously not really interested in “honest debate”?

Look how the Washington Post stampeded the House Republicans just this week. Somehow it was framed as the Republicans favoring a tax increase while the Democrats opposed it. I didn’t see anything on the internet countering that weight effectively. Not even close.
