It’s even worse. The government is not just indifferent to the plight of law-abiding people—it is actively hostile. A judge cut off much of the water supply to the rich Central Valley farms, supposedly to save the delta smelt. But the result is to increase unemployment in parts of the Valley to 40%. Illegal immigration plus unemployment equal big trouble. But it’s not P.C. to mention it, much less to do anything about it. Whether this result is intended or not I don’t know—and I don’t care. What liberals, or any people, intend is important to their psychiatrists. What results is important to all of us.
