Ruger just posted this on their website which makes the LCR-22 official:
Ruger Introduces the LCR in .22 LR
December 16, 2011
Sturm, Ruger & Company, Inc. (NYSE: RGR) is proud to announce the new Ruger® LCR-22, an eight-shot revolver that offers all the features of the award-winning LCR®, chambered in the popular and economical .22 Long Rifle cartridge.
"The LCR has proven its worth since its introduction in 2009, and has become an extremely popular compact revolver for concealed carry," said Chris Killoy, Ruger Vice President of Sales and Marketing. "Our customers asked for a rimfire LCR for low cost practice at the range, and the LCR-22 fills that need. Furthermore, this gun disputes the notion that small-frame, rimfire revolvers come with heavy trigger pulls; the LCR-22's non-stacking trigger pull is highly manageable. In fact, we believe the LCR has the best trigger pull of any factory double-action revolver on the market, and we urge our customers to visit their retailer and try it out for themselves," he concluded.
The newest LCR maintains all the features of the critically acclaimed original LCR. The 1-7/8" barrel and eight-shot cylinder are constructed of stainless steel, and the cylinder is highly fluted to reduce weight. The frame is machined from an aerospace-grade aluminum forging, and the fire control housing is molded from rugged and durable glass-filled nylon. The fire control system utilizes Ruger's patented friction reducing cam that provides a uniquely smooth, non-stacking trigger pull.

And overall length has to be 26 inches or more. I know this law makes absolutely no sense now that the Supreme Court has ruled that the Second Amendment affirms a right to a loaded pistol in common use to defend yourself. It only made sense if it were the precursor of registering and highly regulating pistols in anticipation of banning them.
Now that pistols have been taken off the "ban" table by the Supreme Court, the prohibition on short barreled rifles and shotguns is nonsensical.
It will take a politician with foresight and courage to remove this archaic absurdity of "progressive" assaults on the Constitution, but the case is straightforward and would be rewarded with immense support.
Wow, you got a real deal. From the review quoted below, the MSRP is $625, a hundred dollars higher than the Ruger that we are discussing.
"The Bodyguard 38 with the laser sight is nearly half that at $625. Thats real value to the consumer. Whether as a Get-Off-Me! gun or a backup for another carry gun, the Bodyguard 38 gets two thumbs up from me."
Great little .380..
I love mine...
And I carry a Bobcat as a backup with this round. It has just about
as much lead as a .32. Very effective at close range.
Thanks for clarifying that you were talking about the .380 auto and not the .38 revolver.
That brings this to mind......:)
Have you looked into the Hornady 45 grain critical defense in .22mag? Sounds like it’s made for the PMR30:)
Impact.com sends me to a bag company. Is there a secret portal to get in to guns:?

So true.

I was afriad of the recoil- is it OK?
Gun-Tests magazine has just listed the PM-30 as one of the best guns of the year, but alas, I live in CA and can't have one.
I shot a KelTec PLR-16 the last time I was at the range - now THAT was a LOT of fun! Unfortunately, having lived in California, I suspect you can not own a PLR-16, either.
Now that’s a pistol!
Very smooth.
is it not ‘rifled’ ?
At 50 feet that looks like the bullet was spinning sideways
I nice circular hole would indicate good rifling (much better accuracy and much longer distance)
on the other hand, a bullet spinning like that would make the person on the receiving end a lot less happy
ok then I want one- what is it?
