AC says Mitt is a conservative.

I am no particular fan of Ann Coulter, or Mitt Romney, but why is she so wrong on this? Okay, he has certainly taken less than conservative positions in the past, but he seems to be holding to a reasonably conservative line right now. Should we believe that all conservatives must be born that way? Why can't conservatives be reformed liberals? After all, Newt has taken a rather soft line on GSE's, single payer health care plans, and other such issues, and seems unreformed on some of them. I honestly don't see why we should be trashing either of these guys in that sense. But in the end I am more concerned with what they are promoting today than what they thought ten years ago, and in that Mitt may actually have a lead on Newt.

He has no political conservative record—ALL and I mean ALL of the other candidates have at least SOME conservative behavior in their public service pasts.

He wants us to take his word that he is NOW conservative.

Sorry, ain’t going to buy a used car from THAT slick trick.
