My point is that the United States is nowhere near revolution. The decay that sets in to countries that are on the verge of a revolution simply doesn't exist in the States.

Actually, that part didn't come from Heinlein. Only the point about resistances and outside help did.

You might take heart from the fact that the left-wing radicals are whack-jobs. They have no idea how far their revolutionary fantasies are from reality. In fact, the people who thought that Nixon was too heavy-handed vis-a-vis the New Left, other than the mother hens, were people who essentially despised the New Left.
