How would that, realistically, be enforced?

You are absolutely right, but guess what would happen if anyone seriously submitted such legislation?

People on the dole shouldnt be permitted to vote. Agreed, and that includes those on the government dole as employees.

If you want to reform the system, here’s how:
All able bodied people receiving welfare are mandated to show up at the welfare office a minimum of three days a week to clock in at nine and clock out at three.
All able bodied people receiving welfare MUST put in a minimum of 40 hours per month doing community service.
Further, revoke the license of any doctors who are complicit in giving false diagnosis’ for the purpose of receiving welfare/disability.
After 2 children, welfare benefits max out.
All welfare recipients must pass drug tests.
All monies allotted for the sole purpose of food go to STAPLE ITEMS ONLY....did I miss anything?

No representation without taxation!
Walter Williams had a proposal that was something like everyone gets a vote, but people who pay taxes get two votes.
