I like Perry, but because he cannot explain himself well enough - obama would shread him in a debate. Sad.
Why do conservatives want to trade one big government socialist who is more poised to lose for re-election than Carter was in exchange for a statist nanny stater who engages in corporate welfare cronyism and demonstrates a soft heart for illegals? I don't disagree. But who has the best chance to beat Obama?
Gingrich is obviously a gifted orator. The character issues are there.
Perry needs to drink more caffeine before debates or something. Not bothered by his immigration stuff. He is actually in the arena on the issue as Texas governor; having to deal with this in real life.
The others can all say things about immigration in theory; but Perry has had to deal with it in real life. So I will cut him some slack on the 2 stupid things he has said.
Perry has done a lot of good things in Texas. Really none of the other candidates has this kind of record.
Maybe he needs to watch “The Kings Speech” and get some help in that area!
