“Ragdolls are very loving but also very quiet cats with a high pain tolerance and lose limbs.”
I’ve heard of those cats but I didn’t know they suited their name so well.
I don’t know anything about pure bred cats, but I think if I hit lotto I’d try to learn about them.

We have a part-Ragdoll. She doesn’t go perfectly floppy like a full blooded one, but she’s a calm, gentle, affectionate kitty who clings like velcro and does love to just relax when being cuddled.

Another thing that really helps uptight kitties relax is that when you have them on your lap give them a firm but gentle kitty massage with your fingers. You can feel how tight their muscles might be. Knead them until they loosen up especially in the back of neck and the muscles that connect to the legs as a nervous kitty is always ready to spring for cover and their muscles are tight. A good massage can do them wonders just like it can for us.
