The MSM hasn't woken up, yet, to the harsh 'Infidels winter' reality of the "arab spring." That When average Muslim "activists" speak: "freedom" and "dempcracy" It's hardly what we cherish here in the West. Islamism [AKA 'anti-human-rights' totalitarian Islam and its intolerance to 'others'] is the exact opposite of liberty, of course. The largest enemy of freedom and democracy, is rather political Islam, per se.

Democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting on what to have for dinner.

In the past when we were a Christian nation, based in biblical moral absolutes (objective truth larger than man), ONE PERSON could tell all the unified rest they were wrong. And be right. “Thus saith the Lord” ended the tyranny of the one, the minority, the majority, and the all against the one.

When there are no moral absolutes law becomes arbitrary with no absolute morals or truths behind it, just whatever one judge, or one dictator, or a small cabal, or the majority of leaders, or the majority of society, or unelected bureaucrats, decide what is “right” at this particular moment in time.

This is what democracy is, especially under secular/atheist power structures.

Democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting on what to have for lunch.

Its very simple - respect a person’s property and his person, and prevent the illegal seizure of either by Gov’t or other parties. Then you will have Freedom

Arabs/Muslims are very far from that.

Church burnings are as close as Egypt is ever likely to get to democracy and we should be happy for that.

It is sentiments like that coming form supporters of Israel and Israelis that make "a plague on both their houses" a reasonable attitude for Christians to take to the conflict between Israel and its Muslim neighbors. Sure the persecution of Christians in Israel is of the light variety -- Hasidim spitting at Christians, Israeli soldiers roughing up worshipers bearing the Holy Fire on their way home for Pascha services at the Church of the Holy Sepulchur, and the like -- while that in Muslim-dominated lands when no pragmatic military ruler or cosmopolitan king restrains that offers up martyrs to Christ. But happy for that? I spit metaphorically at Greenfield and Think-Israel.

But tyranny need not be the opposite of democracy

Great story and analysis, I compleatly agree, democracy need not be the opposite of tyrany is something that the majority os MSM in the west, and I think Nato governments to have compleatly not understood, I’m amased how many are surprized of the outcomes of the arab spring and their elections, but then I got to think how they all jumped on
the AGW bandwagon of Gore and suzuky and all the others, so meybe not that much

Muslim democracy is sharia law. Special shout out to ham hocks and zero on a job well done! The enslavement, brutality, mutilation and murder of ALL the female population under a murderous cult.
