That’s all well and good in a controlled setting. Unless you frequently practice(spar) with contact, it’s usually only good for such a setting. I’ve seen “students” in the martial arts get their clocks cleaned because they had no idea what to do in a real situation.
I’ve also known a few high-n-mighty martial arts types who preached ‘I would only use my skills in a life-threatening situation’ only to bust the moves out at the first and most minor provocation.
