He did the minimum to cover himself legally.

Accusations like this are the reason to defend Paterno.

You are claiming that Paterno was trying to protect himself and cover up a scandal. There is absolutely no reason to think that other than some perverse desire to believe the worst.

Me, I think Paterno was forwarding a report of possible crime to those equipped to determine the reliability of it and then notify the proper authorities.

Could I be wrong? Sure.

But it's one thing to point out more reasonable explanations in defense of one charged with wrongdoing than it is to accuse someone of wrongdoing without a scintilla of evidence.

Paterno did nothing more then was legally necessary.

You act like he didn't know Sandusky!

Patreno did not take the accusation to the local police where it should have gone.

So, if that were your son in that shower, you would feel that Paterno did all he was suppose to do?

Report it and forget it?

This issue isn't even debatable, what Petrano knew and what he did is on record, and it was, even by his own words, not enough-and it wasn't.
