So how is a green energy grant like a money laundry. A person of the correct political persuasion starts a sham business, with no intention of it being viable. The "business plan" has plenty of the politically correct buzzwords to get the attention of the politicians on one particular side of the aisle. The person scores some grant money, builds a Potemkin Village of a plant, and makes the necessary political contribution (with the grant money of course). He scores a political visit by a perpetually campaigning politician who is high up on the food chain (and on one particular side of the aisle). He scores another grant/loan guarantee/what have you, makes another BIG political contribution to the right political party (or is that left), and then files bankruptcy since there are no real customers. The employees at the Potemkin Village plant are then out of work, and the owner of the sham has his golden parachute. Rinse, repeat. This is something that RICO statutes typically apply. Yet it is happening now in the form of "green energy" scams, where us the taxpayers are the suckers, and our tax dollars wind up in the coffers of the Democratic Party.
“..we the taxpayers..”
“So how is a green energy grant like a money laundry.”
Da. You just figured that out. I’ve known that for years.
