Whoever the GOP nominee is, he will be destroyed the very same way. This has been going on a month now, and I still haven’t seen one single piece of evidence of any wrong-doing. No receipts, no ticket stubs, no Hallmark cards, nothing. Phone records? Sixty calls/texts over 13 years? I know guys who call their ex-wives with more frequency.
All you need is a couple unstable women willing to make false allegations against Newt, Perry or Romney, and a media which doesn’t demand substantiation, and presto! Your candidate is toast now, too...
I agree and am beyond frustrated by this fact. If it is this easy to destroy a Republican candidate then no Republican can ever win, no matter how circumspect his behavior has been. One big completely unsubstantiated lie, usually accompanied by tears and Gloria Allred acting all self-righteous on behalf of her new client and Herman Cain or any other Republican presidential candidate is finished? Why bother to field a Republican candidate at all if the DNC just have to dig up some acquaintance from the candidate's past, pay them enough to get them to lie and claim they were sexually harassed or had an 'affair' with the candidate sometime in the past, and America just accepts this as fact with no real questions asked? The Communists Democrats will win everything and finish destroying our great nation?
It's discouraging to the point that my interest in politics is fast waning. However, I'm not quite ready to abandon my country to the leftists that hate it and want to turn it into a failed European Nanny State. I remain ensconced on the 'Cain Train' - for as long as it keeps running. However, I'm also re-thinking my support of Michele Bachmann, even Rick Santorum because I won't vote for Romney under any circumstances and, frankly, I don't completely trust Gingrich and can easily see him savaged with the same kind of 'scandals' that Herman Cain is enduring, now. Fake 'scandals' that I hope Mr. Cain can surmount but that, realistically, could derail the 'Cain Train'.
Bachmann piled on Cain today over these lies. She’s a conniving...loser.
