We Could Use A Lot More Barney Franks In Todays Dysfunctional Congress By Jonathan Bernstein
The great Barney Frank is announcing today that hell retire at the end of this Congress. Hell turn 72 in March and hes entitled to a retirement, but hell be missed. His career is a reminder that even in a very partisan era, individual Members of Congress really can make a tremendous difference as legislators, and can even show that Congress whose popularity is at record lows can rise up to the Framers highest ideals in creating it.
Barney Frank is funny really funny, not just for-Washington funny, and youre going to read plenty of greatest hits type coverage of his retirement. But not `Ha Ha’ funny. Funny in a queer sort of way.
D.C. is a hotbed of gayness. I spent a bit of time there and was astonished at how open it is.
I bet he is.
You win. A check on Google shows he writes mainly on gay issues. Wonder if Frank may have had him for a lover?
ding ding ding winner!
Please, American voters, do not elect any more “openly gay” politicians.
I thought this was John Stemmons @ play!
Dare I say: his internal pole looked like shi......sorry, couldn’t resist.
