Fast & Furious cannot be called a “gun-tracking program”. The only way those guns were going to be tracked was by serial number AFTER they were found at crime scenes. If the intent had been to track the guns rather than to find them at murder scenes, they would have had working tracking devices installed, like the gun-tracking guns did when the Bush Administration did the same kind of operation.

Anybody who calls this a “gun-tracking program” needs to explain how guns were supposed to be tracked without any tracking devices in them.

Sort of reminds me of “Monty Python - Holy Grail” where they come up with the trojan horse and the genius who thought of it explains (as they’re talking a ways away, watching the enemy take the trojan horse into their camp) that this is the moment when they’re all supposed to come out of the horse and... (obviously they weren’t in the trojan horse so the operation was a miserable failure because the only detail that mattered was overlooked).

The sealing of these records and the sealing of even the reason the judge gave for sealing it.... is a signed blank check for a judge to do whatever he/she wants to obstruct justice. Who do these judges think they are - God?
