I wonder if “Noman” realizes that habitually referring to oneself in the third person can be indicative of a number of different mental disorders, the least of which is acute egoism.
Long term sustained third person reference can indicate a severely dissociative personality.
None of this really matters, however, since no one cares what no man thinks. (Least of all this commentator, who is, after all, just a common ‘tater.)
There's only one Norman, and he's a blogpimping machine.
If Noman were mentally disordered, he’d be a Lefty.
Acute egoism? You’ll forgive me for not spending much time worrying about that.
Actually, a person referring to a pseudonym is not technically referring to himself in the third person.
Blogging under a pseudonym is a way of (1) appropriating an image to manifest one’s intent, i.e., poking Lefties in the eye, and (2) preserving a modicum of anonymity, which can be helpful in the professional world.
It is also a liberating device, as one is less self-censorial when writing under a pseudonym, e.g., George Elliot. Max Headroom could say things that his creator couldn’t.
Sorry to hear that “no one care what no man thinks.” But, I’m delighted that you care enough to let me know.
