Fox News: Gov. Palin to Reveal 2012 Pick on Greta Tonight
Palin Promotions ^ | 11/15/2011 | Ron Devito

Gov. Palin tonight will reveal on Greta Van Susteren's On the Record which declared candidate she believes has the best chance of beating Obama in 2012, according to promotional language on Fox News' home page and in a promo video.

Ed. Note:

If the foregoing is true, we can reasonably conclude that all reconsideration, "earthquake" and other such efforts should cease. Further, this pick may or may not constitute an official Palin endorsement of a declared candidate.

Any guesses which way she'll go? I'm saying it's either Cain or Gingrich, and more likely Cain, in part because of the strong Tea Party connection. But she's also said some nice things about Newt, so that would be an interesting development, and rather adverse to Cain. Perry, IMHO, is a non-factor for Palin at this point.

Herman Gingrich or Newt Cain.

I’d rather she hold her fire at this stage. These guys need to battle it out on their own without major endorsements from figures with large followings. I like that Rush does not endorse because, as he says, these guys need to earn it on their own.

Is her opinion better than that of anyone else?

This is a WRONG move by Palin IMHO. She should stay out of this unless she’s willing to throw her hat into the ring and declare her candidacy. This has the potential of harming the GOP.

Now there's some serious juggling and parsing of words. This is whom she thinks can win...but not necessarily whom she endorses.

Thanks Fox editors...I'll just listen to what she says and decide myself if it is an endorsement or not.

CAIN VS OBAMA

Given a choice between yours and hers? Hmmmm, wait, wait, let me think. OK, hers. At least for me. And I do vote. :)

No way will she endorse Herman Cain. My guess is Newt. I think she has to be aware to Endorse someone like Romney would be Conservative Suicide.....

Doesn’t really necessarily sound like she’ll be endorsing anyone, just discussing the race. Seems more like Fox is again overdoing the promoting, trying to give that impression. Not unlike the way they made a big deal about her appearance on the Bret Baier thing last Friday, which turned out to be nothing more than old footage from months back!

It will be Newt.
She has to support the “Not Mitt” candidate, and Cain has proven too unaware of critical domestic and foreign policy issues, to be a Presidential candidate.

She'll pick Romney just to get the press to reflexively attack him like a pack of rabid pit bulls. They'll be carrying off his arms and legs for later chewing before they realize what they have done.

Seriously, I think she'll pick Cain. Newt is too much of a long time Beltway insider for her to endorse. Santorum is too far down in the polls. Everyone else is likely to be politically unacceptable to her.

She introduced Rick Perry last year at some important function and said he was the greatest thing since peanut butter and the kind of conservative that this country needs. To not endorse him now would really surprise me. If not Perry, I would think Cain or Newt. If she endorses the liberal Romney she is done as being a serious player in conservative politics. I also think she should keep her mouth shut and let the primary process play itself out. That’s what DiMent is doing.

Don’t care, I’ll still vote my own choice just like I did in my district’s congressional race.
