Spanier is Jewish and a native of South Africa. Joe Paterno is Catholic--there was a thread yesterday about how he sued his local Catholic parish for $1 million when his son was injured on a trampoline (according to the person who posted the story, Joe's son and some other kids had broken in to use the trampoline)--the thread had some newspaper clippings which showed that Paterno settled out of court so it isn't known how much he actually collected.

Sandusky is of Polish ancestry but I don't know what religion he has, if any. Most Poles are Catholics but Tim Pawlenty is of Polish ancestry and is a Protestant I think.
